Faisal Jatt 14-hour police encounter in the village of Hanj

Faisal Jatt, also known as Faisal Hanj, was a notorious drug trafficker in Pakistan. He was involved in a dramatic 14-hour police encounter in the village of Hanj, located in the Gujarat district of Pakistan’s Punjab province. The operation, which began on December 18, 2024, and lasted until the early hours of December 19, involved heavy gunfire, tear gas, and even the use of helicopters.

Faisal Jatt was accused of killing an officer of Pakistan’s elite force and injuring another during a previous encounter. This led to a massive police operation to apprehend him. During the standoff, Faisal, his 20-year-old nephew Safiur Rehman, and two accomplices were killed. The police recovered their bodies the next morning.

The encounter has been widely covered in the media, and Faisal Jatt’s final words, “If he ran away, don’t call him Jutt,” have gone viral on social media
